Privacy

Crossfactors is run by me, Yann Gagnon. I’m responsible for the personal information this site collects. This page says what that is, why I collect it, and what you can ask me to do about it.

What I collect

Visit statistics. I use PostHog to count page views and see how long people stay on a page. It runs without cookies and stores nothing on your device, so it can’t recognise you from one visit to the next. Like any web request, it sees your IP address and browser details. PostHog processes this data in the United States.

Emails you send me. If you write to me, I keep your message and address so I can reply and keep track of the conversation.

Booking a call. The booking link opens Google Calendar. What you enter there is handled by Google under its own privacy policy, and I receive your name, email and anything you add to the booking.

Work for clients. Review logs and other material you share during an engagement are covered by our agreement for that work, not by this page.

Cookies

This site doesn’t use advertising or tracking cookies. Two services may set cookies that the site needs to work:

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The pages you can read without signing in will still work.

What I don’t do

I don’t sell your information, share it for advertising, or add you to a mailing list you didn’t ask to join.

How long I keep it

Only as long as I need it for the purpose above. Ask me to delete something and I will, unless the law requires me to keep it.

Your rights

You can ask what information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email yann@crossfactors.co.

I’m based in Ontario, Canada, and handle personal information under Canada’s federal privacy law, PIPEDA. If you’re not satisfied with my answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

If this page changes in a way that matters, I’ll update the date at the top.
